Based in Rome, Daniela has worked in Tunisia, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Palestine. She has covered the climate crisis, exploitation of natural resources, migration and human trafficking. Her investigations and field reporting explored subjects such as the water crisis in Syria, the drone war in Kurdistan and the impact of the oil industry in Southern Iraq. 

As a photographer, since 2018 she has been working on a long term project exploring the life and struggle of queer activists in Tunisia, Lebanon and Jordan.

In 2022, she won the Global Media Competition of the International Labour Organization and the Ivan Bonfanti Award.


Her works are regularly published by European and international media, including  The Guardian, Der Spiegel, El Paìs, Al Jazeera,  Al Monitor, Il Venerdì di Repubblica, Trouw, De Morgen, Elle, Rai Radio Tre, RaiNews24 and other media.
